Phil Rogers

I’ve many years of gardening experience, in my own time at first, following in my Grandad's footsteps. Then for 9 years working for various landscaping and arboculturalist companies which have included: Groundsman and Tree Surgeon for Arbocare in Oxfordshire, Groundsman for Maintenance and Landscaping firm Jeremy Weare Ltd, Head Groundsman for The Blue School in Somerset, and then teaching City & Guilds recognised Horticulture Qualifications at Earlstoke Prison.

I set up on my own after moving to Bath, meeting my now wife Ali and setting up a home and family here. I have been a self-employed gardener servicing Bath and surrounding areas for over 5 years now and have worked on over 250 properties during that time, offering regular maintenance, one off tidy projects, small landscaping, fencing etc. to mainly private residential properties but also some commercial properties including a childcare nursery and Design company and working for a number of local letting agents including Fidelis, Stonier Hobbs, Premier Lettings and Pegasus.

I’m never happier than when I’m outside and working in gardens. From an early age I’ve always mowed lawns and tended borders with a few little hard landscaping projects for good measure. Since working in the industry professionally I have trained and qualified in many areas giving me great experience and insight into different possibilities. Gardens can be seen as an extension of the house and with care and attention it can be enjoyed and appreciated on a regular basis whatever the weather.

The Team - Having built up the business from scratch I now often have too much work to do alone and rarely work on my own anymore but work with trusted family and friends as subcontractors to help me get the jobs done especially during the summer months when there are quite literally not enough hours in the day!
